Forensic Foundation are running a 2 day training course aimed at assisting professionals to broaden and improve their skills as expert witnesses on Wednesday 22 February  and Thursday  23 February 2012. This course will be presented by Anna Davey, Tim Nethercote and Grant Holley.

  • This training course aims to develop and improve skills, including the discussion of the following: 
  • the structure of the Australian legal system;
  • the development and amendment of relevant local, interstate and national legislation;
  • the rules of evidence;
  • procedural and legal requirements relating to the delivery of evidence;
  • the  moral obligations of an expert witness;
  • courtroom layout;
  • proceedings of a trial;
  • identifying the different types of evidence;
  • rules regarding testimony in courts of law; and
  • appropriate presentation techniques during the delivery of evidence in a courtroom situation
